Pedestrian Killed At Rt.21 In Newark

A person died after being struck by a vehicle in Newark Saturday morning, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said.

The person was hit around 10:30 a.m. at Elm Street and Rt. 21, the busy highway between the East Ward and the rest of the city.
